Summer is over and the end of 2022 is rushing up to meet us. But we’re just getting started with Throne of Blood’s anniversary releases. Hot on the heels of EP 1 featuring Chloé, Joakim & Max Pask, Justin Cudmore, and Liona, we return with the second blitz of special material for EP 2.
Kicking things off is label fixture and A Love From Outer Space maestro Sean Johnston in his Hardway Bros guise with “The Other Side,” which was the very first song submitted for this series composed in the wake of Andrew Weatherall’s passing. Having been roadtested extensively in pandemic-era ALFOS EBS livestreams, it is finally available to all.
Rounding things out are tracks from Hapa, a duo of NYC underground stalwarts, Takaya Nagase (Joy) and Eric Pecoraro aka Eric From America (Chomp Chomp Records),new wave acid punk Curses (Ombra International), and West Coast legends Split Secs,
From slow motion atmosphers to warehouse smashers, EP2 showcases a wide range of sounds and influences that build on our dedication to forward-looking sounds rooted in the history of leftfield dance music. Dig in!
